Challenge
Lighthouse performance score of 42. Largest Contentful Paint at 8.2s. Heavy unoptimized JS bundles, render-blocking CSS, no image optimization pipeline. Users abandoning the dashboard before it fully loaded.
What We Did
- Audited all frontend assets and identified 2.4MB of unused JavaScript
- Implemented code splitting and tree shaking, reducing JS payload by 68%
- Built a responsive image pipeline with srcset and WebP fallbacks
- Extracted and inlined critical CSS for above-the-fold content
- Configured lazy loading for below-fold components and images
- Set up CDN with proper cache headers for static assets

- Lighthouse: 42 → 94
- LCP: 8.2s → 1.4s
- CLS: 0.31 → 0.02
- Time to Interactive: 12s → 3.1s
- JS bundle size: 2.4MB → 780KB
